28 Jun 07Please find below a message from Fiona & Dave Ingram to all DCSS staff that worked as part of the campervan crew at Glastonbury 2007
"I wish to thank you all for a great job well done!
You enabled us to fit the most amount of caravans and campervans to officially turn up to the site in the smallest available space and still make the festival goers enjoy what they had.
Both day and night crews were great. At first when we were having the briefing meeting I looked around to see apprehensive individuals but by the end of the week I could see a team of friends that made a small part of what is the "Glastonbury Festival Experience" just that.
I hope you managed to grab some of that experience for yourselves and saw some of what is said to be the best festival in the world.
Even though it rained for most of the week you carried on regardless of your discomforts! A fact which I am grateful for.
For all the incidents that happened you were great, praise from the fire officers that when in our area they were guided directly to the site of the problem with no errors. High praise indeed!
So from Fiona and myself we thank you and look forward to working with you again in what ever field it maybe.
I leave you with the thought that if sausage and mash and mud have not dampened your spirit there is always an east field which you can feel a part of.
PS as we do not have mining rights to worthy farm can you send the mud back!
Dave & Fiona"
